Aim
In the present computer age, as long as you have the skill, anyone can create all kinds of letters.
However, the flip side of the coin is that, since anyyone can do it,everyone can produce the same thing.
As a result, handwritten calligraphy has begun to attract attention.
Calligraphy means using various nib sizes to write characters beautifully.
This skill takes time, but produces an originality that cannot be copied by computers.
Like a pendulum swinging, in the present era when people want to distinguish
their independence and originality, using a pen is fresh and stylish.
In the east, when we write letters, usually the brush is long and the nib pointed.
Using this type of brush, by covering the brush in varying amounts of ink,
one can draw either thin or thick lines.
Even if there is only a little ink on the brush, one can paint an interesting "kasure"(dry brush stroke), in a variegated style.
With the brush,
one can express his or her feelings and originality more easily.

However, there are difficult elements to using a brush.
For example, you must add ink, and wash the brush after use.
Thus was born the "fude (brush) pen," which has a cartridge,
making this new world of Japanese art called "Fudegraphy" possible.
"Fudegraphy" is a new type of word art.
That is. to write Western-style characters with an Eastern-style pen.
With hand-written characters at its core,
this adds a vigor (ikioi) and a nature flow (nagare) not seen before.
Using this simple pen, one can easily taste the joys of "Fudegraphy."
On another note, it has been almost one hundred years
since Haiku became known to the world.
Presently there are millions of Haiku lovers.
However, unlike drawings and paintings,
Haiku cannot be expressed visually,
so not may people know how widely they are enjoyed.
Even if you make a Haiku poem, unless it is published,
you won’t have the chance to share it with others.
From now on, however,
'Fudegraphy' can contribute to the promotion of haiku.
For example, you make everyday cards, using the word art of
"Fudegraphy" when creating Haiku, and put them on the wall
or use them as nice gifts, etc. With your original art
you will enjoy the great pleasure of making your Haiku
visual -adding fulfillment to your life.

Furthermore,”Fudegraphy” has large potential for commercial use -
for restaurant menus, titles of posters and brochures, etc.

"Fudegraphy" originated in Japanese temples.
When you visit a Buddhist temple in Japan, you can get a stamp
with the temple’s name written with a Japanese writing brush
on a folded note as a souvenir.
The stamp is a historical example of "Fudegraphy" you can actually get
even now, whose value Japanese people may not realize.
In contrast, people from other countries
tend to pay attention to its interest and charm.

Thus, we have founded the International Fudegraphy Association
in order to promote "Fudegraphy"not only in Japan
but also in other parts of the world.
Like the Japanese aesthetic values "Wabi" and "Sabi,”
we would like you to join us in promoting this new
international culture that originated in Japan.
We would appreciate your understanding and support.
Thank you.
